According to Johnny Carson's just-released death certificate, the late-night god died Jan. 23 at 6:50 am/PST at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center — not his Malibu estate, as his family first reported. The cause of death was "respiratory arrest" due to emphysema. His body was cremated and given to his wife, Alexis.
