The Carrie Diaries Finds Its Samantha

Lindsey Gort has been cast as Samantha Jones on the CW's The Carrie Diaries, Warner Bros. TV announced Saturday.
The actress is a relative unknown, though she did appeared on one episode of Vegasand has a role in the upcoming film 2 Guns.

The Carrie Diaries  follows a young Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) as she balances her high school life in Connecticut with the high fashion of New York City. In its upcoming second season, Carrie will make an important friend in Samantha, "a ballsy, beautiful and sexy young woman from the panhandle of Florida" who has already found her niche in New York's rock 'n' roll scene.
