George W. Bush says he forgives Kanye West after the rapper expressed regret for calling the former president a racist.
In an interview with Today's Matt Lauer, West said he "didn't have the grounds" to call Bush a racist during the 2005 Hurricane Katrina telethon. In his new book, Decision Points, Bush said the incident was the "all-time low" during his presidency.

"I believe that in a situation of high emotion like that we as human beings don't always choose the right words," West said.Shown video of West's mea culpa on Wednesday's Today, Bush said he appreciated West's comments, noting that others made similar remarks during Katrina."Does your faith allow you to forgive Kanye West?" Lauer asked Bush."Absolutely. Of course it does," Bush said. "I'm not a hater. I don't hate Kanye West."
