Bruce Jenner Sued for Wrongful Death After Fatal Car Crash

Olympic champion and reality star Bruce Jenner is being sued for negligence and wrongful death by the family of a woman killed in February's tragic car crash in Southern California, Reuters reports.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims Jenner was driving his Cadillac Escalade, which was towing a trailer with an off-road vehicle, when he struck Kimberly Howe's car from the rear, pushing her automobile into oncoming traffic. Howe collided head-on with another vehicle and died at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.

The lawsuit alleges that Jenner "violated the rules of the road" and was "negligent, careless and reckless" in causing the wreck. The wrongful death claim seeks unspecified damages for the personal loss of Howe, and financial support for her two stepchildren, Dana Redmond and William Howe.

The lawsuit comes just one week after Jenner declared in a nationally televised interview with Diane Sawyer that he identifies as a woman.
