Brooke Hogan Defends Dad Hulk with a Poem

Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke is defending him after reports that the wrestler once used racial slurs in reference to a man she was dating.

Brooke Hogan, 27, posted a poem on her Facebook page Friday under her real name, Brooke Bollea, titled "If You Knew My Father."

"We always fight a battle / that people never see, / And sometimes when you're hurting, you don't think logically," the poem reads in part.

She continues: "If you knew the dad I knew / you'd know he raised me well / He taught me folks are so much more / Than shades could ever tell."

The WWE is less quick to forgive The Hulkster, whose real name is Terry Bollea, and severed all ties with him on Friday.

The audio, which was part of the sex tape that is at the center of the wrestler's ongoing legal battle with Gawker, reportedly features him using the N-word several times as he laments the fact that Brooke is involved with an unnamed black music producer.

After reports of the tape surfaced on Friday, Hulk Hogan issued a swift apology, saying in a statement: "This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs."
