Brooke Burke Reveals She's Cancer-Free

Seven days after undergoing thyroid cancer surgery, Brooke Burke got some exciting news from her doctors.
"I just got the results back from all of my tests and great news - the thyroid cancer has been removed from my body and all my lymph nodes are clear," Burke wrote in her blog on Modern Mom.

The Dancing with the Stars co-host is now enjoying putting the ordeal behind her and focusing on recovery. "It's so out of the ordinary for me - to not be working or rushing from place to place driving the kids around," she wrote. "But I have to admit I could kinda get used to this. I'm starting to feel like a housewife, minus the household chores... not a bad gig."
Burke continues to look ahead, keeping up the positive attitude she displayed throughout the harrowing ordeal. "Every day I'm feeling better and I'm looking forward to getting back to my usual routine, but with a bit of a different outlook," Burke said. "I've never been one to take life for granted and it sounds so cliché to say it, but this whole thyroid experience has given my family such a scare that it seems to have brought us all closer. And it's allowing us to ring in the New Year with a newfound respect for life."
Burke has been very candid throughout the ordeal, and recovery is no exception. The mother of four has shared how she's progressing on Twitter, a process which currently consists of marathoning Homelandand eating old Halloween candy.
