Britt Robertson Will Star in Netflix Comedy Series Girlboss

The Space Between Us and Tomorrowland star Britt Robertson will be returning to the small screen for Girlboss, a Netflix comedy series premiering in 2017, the streaming service announced Tuesday.

Girlboss is based on a 2014 memoir by Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso,about her experience starting her clothing company. Robertson will star as Sophia, a young woman with a messy life who unexpectedly finds huge success selling vintage clothing online, and then has to deal with growing up and fulfilling her destiny as a #girlboss.

Robertson previously was a series lead on The CW's Life Unexpected and The Secret Circle,

Girlboss is created by Pitch Perfect writer Kay Cannon. Executive producers include Charlize Theron, Christian Ditter (who will also direct) and Amoruso. The first season will consist of 13 episodes.
