Bret Michaels to Play Himself on Revolution

Bret Michaels is joining the Revolution.

The singer will play a post-apocalyptic version of himself in an upcoming episode, NBC announced Tuesday. Additionally, the former Poison rocker will perform an acoustic version of his biggest hit, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," on the sophomore drama.

"Bret is truly a great guy," creator Eric Kripke said in a statement. "I'm a huge fan of his music and I'm thrilled he's appearing on Revolution."

In addition to hosting the Travel Channel series Rock My RV, Michaels has appeared on numerous reality shows including Celebrity Apprentice: All Stars and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Michaels' episode is set to air sometime next year. Revolution returns Wednesday, Jan 8 at 8/7c on NBC.
