The Dark Side may be a problem for Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and General Leia (Carrie Fisher), but box office records are not. Star Wars: The Force Awakens pulled in a massive $238 million this weekend, crushing the previous record held by Jurassic World ($208 million), according to Box Office Mojo.

Biggest opening weekend was not the only record The Force destroyed though. The Disney behemoth also had the largest preview showing ($57 million) and the largest Friday opening day ($120.5 million). Plus: don't forget that Star Wars is an international phenomenon. Worldwide sales totaled $517 million.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 held in at No. 4, followed by Creed, The Good Dinosaur and the Christmas horror flick Krampus. Ron Howard's In the Heart of the Sea fell to a disappointing No. 8. Dilwale and Bijirao Mastiani rounded out the top 10.
