After court papers were released in which Bill Cosby admitted to drugging women in order to have sex with them, Walt Disney World has finally decided to remove a statue of the famed comedian.

According to NBC News, the statue, which was located within the Hollywood Studios theme park, was taken down Tuesday night after the park closed.

Over the past eight months, dozens of women have come forward accusing Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them, with many of the incidents dating back 40 years. Brittany Gavriolova, the niece of one of Cosby's alleged victims, started a Change.org petition seven months ago asking Disney to remove the bronze bust of Cosby.

Why no one should be surprised by the Bill Cosby allegations

However, it wasn't until The Associated Press obtained documents on Monday from a 2005 deposition in which Cosby admitted to obtaining Quaaludes in order to give them to women to have sex that Disney World took steps to remove the statue.
