2020 has been a bumpy ride, to say the least, and this crazy train does not seem to be slowing down. There's a good chance you've been one of millions of people with a lot more extra time on your hands while social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic, and you might have finally started chipping away at the pile-up of shows, movies, and/or specials that you'd left in your to-be-watched list. The good news — and let's be honest, we need it — is that these past few months have given us a whole new group of great things to stream.

Even if you do have a bit more wiggle room in your schedule, though, your time is still very valuable, so we're here to help steer you in the right direction with your options. Netflix's productions were certainly affected by production shutdowns, but the streaming service has continued releasing its banked originals at rapid speed this year, with plenty more still to come. So if you're looking for which Netflix Originals are the best of the best from this year's offerings so far, look no further.

Click through the gallery below to find out which of the streaming service's 2020 titles are the best and brightest so far. From the docuseries which no one could stop talking about (like Tiger King) to the scripted dramas that got us in our feelings (including Never Have I Ever and The Baby-Sitters Club) to the action movies that were just silly enough to let us escape for a spell (like Extraction and The Old Guard) to genuinely great comedy specials, click through to read about the best of the best on Netflix this year (so far).
