Is Two and a Half Men serious about trading writing staffs with CSI? It's for real, should said deal get a green light from CBS. Confirming that which CSI boss Carol Mendelsohn teased at Tuesday's Banff festival, Men mastermind Chuck Lorre says the disparate shows may exchange scribes for a week, to see how the other half lives. "It's baffling and intriguing what they do. It'd be an interesting challenge," Lorre tells Variety. But would the lark result in, like, an innuendo-laden Grissom? Or Stokes in bowling shirts? Would a Men-written CSI have a different tone? Says Lorre, "One would hope that we might be able to bend it a little bit, though not so much as to break it." That's what she said!
