The big showdown between Batman and Superman will take place earlier than expected.
Warner Bros. has moved the release date of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice from May 6, 2016 to March 25, 2016, the studio announced this week. The shift avoids a conflict with Marvel Studios' Captain America 3, which is also scheduled to be released on May 6.
Warner Bros. also unveiled plans to release two DC Comics movies each year from 2016 through 2020. Fans can expect the Batman v. Superman sequel Justice League to hit theaters in 2017 or 2018.
