The upcoming season of The Bachelor doesn't begin until January 5, but Jason Mesnick is already hearing wedding bells. "I'm engaged!" the new Bachelor star told People. The 32-year-old was shot down by The Bachelorette's DeAnna Pappas during July's season finale. "I really did fall in love with DeAnna," said Mesnick, who also added how "shocked" he was upon learning about Pappas' split from winner Jesse Csincsak. "I thought they were going to make it."
The divorced, single father decided to give the reality dating series thing another whirl after an outpouring of support from fans and family. The only difference is that this time he got to hand out the roses.
And now, Mesnick, his 3-year-old son, Ty, and one lucky lady from the upcoming season of The Bachelor can live happily ever after. "I just really believed this can happen to me," said the husband-to-be. "I cannot believe it's this great!"
