Bachelor Producers: Discrimination Lawsuit Is "Without Merit"

Producers for ABC's The Bachelor say the discrimination lawsuit against the series is "baseless and without merit," EW reports.
"In fact, we have had various participants of color throughout the series' history, and the producers have been consistently — and publicly — vocal about seeking diverse candidates for both programs," read a statement from Warner Horizon, a production company behind the show. "As always, we continue to seek out participants of color for both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette."
The Bachelor faces racial discrimination lawsuit

The statement comes after two African-American men announced their plans to sue the producers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette for racial discrimination. Nathaniel Claybrooks and Christopher Johnson are attempting to sue ABC as well as production companies Warner Horizon Television, Next Entertainment, NZK Productions and executive producer Mike Fleiss.
In the suit, Claybrooks, a linebacker Nashville Storm, a minor league football team, and Johnson, an aspiring NFL player, point out that in 10 years and 23 seasons, there has never been a Bachelor or Bachelorette of color.
