On the table-flipping heels of New Jersey's wives comes the second season of the just-as-feisty gals of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. And brace yourselves because a new Georgia peach is joining the bunch.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss — she's written for Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child and Alicia Keys — joins the mix with her 6-year-old daughter Riley and live-in fiancé A.J. Kandi's disapproving mom also plays a role this season.

"My fiancé does have six children. And that in itself is, like, a big problem with my mom," says Kandi. "I did not know going into the relationship that he had that many kids, so she felt like there was some deceit."

Based on the track records of Real Housewives past, we all know what kind of drama the newbies can stir up (we're looking at you, Ms. Bensimon), and Kandi admits she did have words with one cast member in particular.

"I would not say that I am coming on and just causing drama, but I did have a moment [that was] towards the end of taping that just kind of got out of control," Kandi said. "NeNe and I bumped heads. Our personalities clashed."

Watch NeNe set the record straight about her split from her hubby

Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres Thursday at 10/9 CT on Bravo.
