Who Is Going to Die on Arrow?

Is Felicity in danger? We weigh the likelihood

Arrow fans have been dreading Wednesday's episode for a while now, ever since Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes solemnly tweeted about filming a particularly tough goodbye scene for it in early March.

Not long after, David Ramsey ominously posted a photo of Amell, Haynes, Emily Bett Rickards and himself, captioned "Long Live.. TEAM ARROW!"

Yeah, it definitely seems like someone - likely a core member of Team Arrow - is going to bite the dust in this Wednesday's episode. The question remains: Who? Here are our five most likely candidates:

Go behind the scenes of Arrow

Diggle (Ramsey)
David Ramsey has said that Arrow's fourth season will prominently feature a H.I.V.E. story line. And unless that's a major red herring, we're going to say the show not going to kill off Diggle right before he gets a major plot of his own and a chance to avenge his brother's death. }
Probability: 100-1

Felicity Smoak (Rickards)
The trailer for Wednesday's episode shows the much-anticipated Felicity and Oliver hookup, which, by horror movie rules, doesn't put Felicity at great odds to survive. However, people are nuts about Felicity and Arrow isn't Scream.

That being said, Felicity's death - maybe even more so than Oliver's - would be the most painful for viewers, which is exactly why it would make for terrific television. And Arrow has proven time and time again that it isn't afraid to take big risks. Plus, The Good Wife managed to survive (and even thrive) after killing off its lead's romantic interest, so there's no reason why Arrow couldn't do the same.

At the same time, please don't kill off Felicity.
Probability: 70-1

Thea Queen (Willa Holland)
Would any fans be too upset if Thea was the one to go? Probably not. However, it'd be a huge waste to have Thea finally learn how to fight without ever seeing her suit up. And all the Speedy references have us thinking that Thea is fated to join Team Arrow and become her brother's sidekick at some point. There is likely a spot opening up in the group after all...
Probability: 50-1

On the set: Go behind the scenes of The Flash

Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne)
There's really no place left for Lance on the show. Now that he knows Sara's dead, Laurel's the new Black Canary and Oliver is the Arrow, what is there really left for him to do other than get in the way? It seems like the only good option left for Lance is to die in his daughter's arms, pushing Laurel into new (and hopefully exciting) places. Because at this point, we're willing to sacrifice just about anyone to make Laurel more interesting.
Probability: 30-1

Roy Harper (Haynes)
As much as we hate to say it, all signs point to Roy being the one to die. Even the trailer goes as far as to show him getting shived in prison (though we like to imagine Roy would go down in a more heroic manner). The worst part is that as charming as Colton Haynes is, Roy isn't nearly as crucial a member of Team Arrow as Felicity or Diggle. His death wouldn't have as drastic an impact on the way the group operates. It would drive the plot forward and create emotional ripples throughout all the surviving characters without forcing Team Arrow to restructure itself completely.
Probability: 3-1

Who do you think will die?
