Modern Family actress Ariel Winter has reportedly been removed from her home due to allegations of physical and emotional abuse by her mother, according to TMZ.

Court sources have told TMZ that after an initial guardian hearing, judges determined Winter, 14, was being abused by her mother Crystal Workman. The court then granted Winter's older sister Shanelle Workman, 34, temporary custody. The judge has set the next hearing for Nov. 20.

Winter's representative has not responded to TVGuide.com's request for comment. However, Workman adamantly denies the allegations. "It's all untrue, it's all untrue," she tells People. "I have my doctor's letter that my daughter's never been abused... I have stylists' letters that she's never been abused."

TMZ adds that nearly 20 years ago, the Department of Children and Family Services removed Shanelle from her mother's home after similar allegations and placed her in foster care for two years.
