Ariana Grande Reveals Guest Role in Jim Carrey's Kidding: 'Most Special Experience of My Life'

Ariana Grande fans might want to make sure their Showtime subscriptions are current, because the pop star-slash-actress is going to be guest-starring on the comedy series Kidding in its upcoming new season.

Grande revealed the news that she'd be making a cameo in the series, which stars her longtime idol Jim Carrey, on Twitter Tuesday. "I get to make a tiny appearance on the hilarious and deeply moving show Kidding next season. This was a DREAM of an experience," she wrote.

She also described how much it meant to her to work with Carrey, whom she previously credited with being an "inspiration" after channeling his words to address the subject of depression. "There aren't words. I've been staring at my screen and no words do this moment justice. Thankful for the most special experience of my life. Nothing is crazier than getting to work with and spend time with someone whom you've idolized and adored since before you could speak," Grande wrote in her post. "Actually, what's even crazier is discovering that person to be more special and warm and generous in person than you could've ever imagined."

Kidding features Carrey as Jeff Piccirillo, a children's television personality known as Mr. Pickles who runs a popular puppet series on PBS but privately suffers from the loss of one of his sons. The series marks Carrey's first foray into television since The Duck FactoryandIn Living Colorand was renewed for a second season after receiving positive reviews.

Grande has been very forthcoming about how much she adores Carrey in the past, once revealing, "My first AIM username was jimcarreyfan42 when I was in like 4th grade." She previously shared a tearful video of herself getting to meet him.

Although she is now best known for her music, her first big break was her acting role in Nickelodeon's sitcom Victorious, and she has since starred in Sam & Cat, Hairspray Live!, and Scream Queens. She is also expected to appear in Ryan Murphy's Netflix adaptation of The Prom.

Kidding Season 2 premieres Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9/8c on Showtime.
