Anna Nicole: Lawyer Quits Paternity Case, Saying, "I Just Had Enough"
Perhaps as fed up as the rest of us are with the protracted proceedings to determine the paternity of the late Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Debra Opri has ended her professional relationship with 6-month-old Dannielynn's prospective pop, Larry Birkhead. "I just had enough," Opri tells TV's Extra. "I can't represent a client who has a middle man by the name of Howard K. Stern. I just don't like [Stern's] influence.... It was too much to handle."Lest anyone think she is "jumping ship," Opri notes that Birkhead should get the DNA results he needs before she bids their arrangement adieu. "I feel comfortable in my decision, and I wish Larry the best," she says. "But I am worried about him."
