Amy Winehouse Hospitalized for Reaction to Meds

Amy Winehouse has been admitted to the hospital once again, following a reportedly adverse reaction to medication. The singer, 24, was rushed to a London emergency room from her home Monday night. Her reps issued a statement saying, "Doctors have advised that [Winehouse] will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow." Winehouse's hospital visit is the second in two months. In June, she was admitted to a clinic after collapsing. Her father said at the time that she was diagnosed with the early stages of emphysema, due to her smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine. Yet, soon after that previous hospital stay, the chanteuse went on to perform at the annual Glastonbury music festival and at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party. With any luck (and some good medical care), she'll recover as well this time around. — Anna Dimond
