Amy Robach Cuts Hair to "Take Control" During Cancer Battle

Amy Robach isn't letting breast cancer take over her life completely. The ABC News correspondent, who is undergoing chemotherapy, said on Good Morning America Wednesday that she decided to cut her hair once she noticed it was starting to fall out.

Amy Robach isn't letting breast cancer take over her life completely. 
The ABC News correspondent, who is undergoing chemotherapy, said on Good Morning America Wednesday that she decided to cut her hair once she noticed it was starting to fall out.

"I decided I was going to take control of one thing away from the cancer, so I got my hair cut," said Robach, noting that "in our line of work appearance is important."

Robach, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last October, made a personal video as she prepared to go for the trim. "Today I am taking control of something that I have very little control of," she said. "I'm going to cut my hair very short. I've never done this before, but I want to say that I had something to do with how I look, not the cancer."

Robach teared up during the cut, but described her new look as "a fresh start, a new chapter." Check out the video of her GMA segment below:
