After 22 cycles America's Next Top Model's runway will go dark, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Host Tyra Banks tweeted the news on Wednesday.

The CW later confirmed that the show's current cycle will be its last, with the series finale airing on Friday, Dec. 4 at 9/8c.
"America's Next Top Model was a successful franchise for two networks, first at UPN and then The CW, and it became not just a ratings hit, but a global pop culture phenomenon," said CW president Mark Pedowitz in a statement. "I want to thank Tyra [Banks] and Ken [Mok] for all their years of success in establishing a show that was not just popular in the U.S., but all across the world."

America's Next Top Model premiered in May 2003 on UPN and later became the first series to premiere when the CW launched on Sept. 20, 2006. Sources say that the network is currently looking at a possible retrospective special about the show to air in 2016.
America's Next Top Model airs Fridays at 9/8c on the CW.
