Angela Bassett is the latest Horror Story alum to join the fifth installment of the franchise. Creator Ryan Murphy tweeted the news on Thursday, teasing that Bassett will be "making lots of trouble" with co-star Lady Gaga.

Bassett played Marie Laveau in American Horror Story: Coven and Desiree Dupree in American Horror Story: Freak Show. For Hotel, which will be the first season without Jessica Lange, she joins a cast that includes franchise newcomers Gaga and Cheyenne Jackson, and returning players Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny and Evan Peters.

American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere in October.
