FX revealed the title at Comic-Con
American Horror Story didn't do as elaborate a lead-up to its title reveal as it has in the past, like it did with fake teasers for Roanoke, but the release did come as a surprise. Deadline reports that late Thursday night during an event at San Diego Comic-Con, FX released the title and artwork for Season 8 of Ryan Murphy's anthology series: Apocalypse.
And the artwork is creepy indeed. Take a look.
AHS: Apocalypse will be a crossover between Murder House (Season 1) and Coven (Season 3). Cast members include Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd and Joan Collins, who will be playing Peters' character's grandmother.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 10/9c on FX.
