George Takei Is Headed to AMC's The Terror

George Takei is headed to The Terror! AMC revealed Tuesday that the Star Trek great will make his way Ridley Scott's acclaimed anthology as both a consultant and series regular for Season 2. He is set to play Yamato-san, a former fishing captain and community elder, for the upcoming season.

Season two of the thrilling horror series, which consists of 10 new episodes, will be set during World War II and follow "bizarre deaths that haunt a Japanese-American community," according to AMC's description. This latest installment will chronicle one man's journey (Derek Mio)to figure out the mysterious entity behind these mindboggling deaths. The series was co-created by True Blood's Alexander Woo and Kong: Skull Island's Max Borenstein who also serve as executive producers.

In addition to Mio asChester Nakayama, the man charged with uncovering the mystery behind those unexplained deaths, the show's stacked roster of talent also includes Kiki Sukezane as Yuko, a mystery woman from Chester's past; Miki Ishikawa as Amy, a friend of the Nakayamas;Shingo Usami as Henry Nakayama, Chester's father; and Naoko Mori as Asako Nakayama, Chester's mom. Narcos' Josef Kubota Wladyka will direct the first two episodes.

Season 2 of The Terror arrives sometime in 2019 on AMC.
