Teen Mom alum Amber Portwood was released from prison Monday,  nearly four years earlier than originally anticipated, Us Weekly reports.

Our favorite TV & movie witches

Portwood, 23, was sentenced to five years in prison in January 2012 following her December 2011 arrest for drug-related charges. However, she was photographed Monday leaving Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana wearing a white t-shirt printed with the words, "Breaking Free From Addiction." She served a total of a year and four months.

Before her December arrest, Portwood was charged with domestic violence in November 2010 toward her on-again, off-again boyfriend Gary Shirley, with whom she has a 4-year-old daughter, Leah. Seven months later, she completed a rehab stint in Malibu, Calif., following a suicide attempt. While in prison, Portwood had planned to attend substance abuse classes and get her GED.
