Amazon Revives Ripper Street for Season 3

Amazon has given Ripper Street new life: The website has revived the once-canceled BBC show for a third season, TVGuide.com has learned.

The new season will air on Amazon Prime Instant Video for U.K. subscribers before it premieres on BBC One a few months later. The first two seasons of the series, which takes place during the era of Jack the Ripper and stars Matthew Macfayden, will also be available to stream.

Amazon's decision follows in the footsteps of Netflix, which has so far revived canceled shows Arrested Development and The Killing.
