Amanda Bynes' bong-throwing case was dismissed by a New York court Monday, The Associated Press reports. The case was thrown out because Bynes, 28, has obeyed the judge's orders to attend counseling twice a week and stay out of legal trouble, according to the AP.

The actress was charged with marijuana possession and reckless endangerment last year after she allegedly threw a bong out of her window as police arrived at her Manhattan apartment. The building managers had called police to report that Bynes had been smoking marijuana in the lobby.
Bynes was not present for Monday's decision.
Although these charges were dismissed, Bynes pleaded no contest in February to reckless driving, stemming from a 2012 incident in which she hit a police car. She was sentenced to three years of probation and three months of alcohol education classes. Bynes also was placed under a conservatorship and received psychiatric treatment last year after she set a small fire in a driveway.
