How "Sweded" It Is: Almost Human Invites Fans To Reshoot Its Promo

The mad geniuses at Bad Robot, Warner Bros. and Fox are at it again! After producing five seasons of stellar cinematic trailers for Fringe, they're now giving us "major motion picture" realness with the latest spot for Almost Human (premiering Sunday, Nov. 17 at 8/7c). Packed with clips we've seen before along with new scenes from upcoming episodes, the two-minutes-plus piece of work does a bang-up job of setting up the real cop-meets-robocop series while also whetting our appetites for the futuristic action beyond the two-part pilot.

And that's not all, folks! In honor of Human's already active fan base, which has begun posting homemade posters and character-inspired art online, Fox is taking a page from the 2008 film Be Kind Rewind and inviting those creative types out there to whip up "Sweded" remakes of the promo — in the flick, two video-store clerks reshoot the movies they've accidentally erased and convince customers that the new versions are Swedish imports. Seriously, it's a thing.

So fire up your iPhones, camcorders, Vine apps, whatever and get to work! All the rules and requirements are available on this Almost Human Facebook page, where you can also read about how your mini-opus may wind up in an official "fan version" of the promo.
