A Complete Breakdown of All the Messy Drama You Can Expect from All American Season 2

It seems like forever ago that the Beverly Hills High Eagles won the state championship and Spencer James' (Daniel Ezra) life was turned upside down on All American, but Season 2 is right around the corner and that means its time to catch up on all of that Season 1 drama.

Where to begin? For starters, with the reveal of Billy (Taye Diggs) and Grace's (Karimah Westbrook) affair that left both the James and Baker families reeling. The fallout forced Billy to move out of his house and in with his dad while he figures out how to get his life back on track. He also resigned as the head coach of the Eagles, meaning we should expect a new face to come in and really shake things up for the winning team.

Things only gets more complicated with Spencer's dad Cory (Chad L. Coleman) back in the picture. He returned to Crenshaw to try and reconnect with his son, and potentially his estranged wife, Grace, but the latter will depend on whether Spencer's little brother Dylan is actually Cory's kid or Billy's. The familial drama on the show still has nothing on the relationship woes, though. This is still a CW show, after all. With Cory back in town and coaching the Crenshaw team, Spencer must decide if he wants to stay in Beverly Hills or return home to his former team. That's going to put a lot of strain on his relationship with Layla (Greta Onieogou), as she struggles with her anxiety and depression after her house was robbed in Season 1.

On a lighter note, Asher (Cody Christian) and Olivia (Samantha Logan) are going to continue to get closer in Season 2. The end of Season 1 made it fairly obvious that Asher was catching serious feelings for Olivia, but Season 2 will see what potential these two really have as a couple, if they can keep everyone else off their back.
