Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser Secretly Had a Baby Boy

The State Department should hire Alexis Bledel as an information security consultant.

Despite all the interest in the upcoming Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix, Bledel managed to keep the fact that she became a mother six months ago a secret. She and her husband, Mad Men actor Vincent Kartheiser, became first-time parents last fall, Us Weekly confirms.

The baby boy's name and birthday haven't been publicly released.

Bledel's Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson spilled the beans first in an interview with Glamour. "She's really blossomed as a woman and now she's a proud new mother and married and happy," he said of reuniting with Bledel for the Netflix revival. "She's just the most likable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn't changed at all. She looks the same. We're comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I'm showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We're just really enjoying each other's company."
Bledel, 34, and Kartheiser, 37, met when she guest-starred on Mad Men in 2012. They secretly tied the knot in June 2014.
