More than a week after Adam Lambert's daring, S&M-themed performance at the American Music Awards on ABC, Lambert's upcoming performance on the network's Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been axed as well, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

"We decided not to move forward with the booking at this time," an ABC spokesperson said of the scheduled Dec. 17 outdoor concert.

The American Idol runner-up first tweeted the news, saying his appearances on both Kimmel and ABC's  New Years Rockin' Eve had been canceled. A rep for New Year's Rockin' Eve could not be reached for comment.

However, it's not all bad news for the 27-year-old rocker. Lambert's debut LP For Your Entertainment came in at No. 3 on the Billboard album charts. NBC confirms Lambert will appear on The Jay Leno ShowDec. 21.

In the wake of Lambert's water-cooler moment at the AMAs, the singer was first dropped from ABC's Good Morning America before getting picked up by both The Early Show and the Late Show with David Letterman.

Lambert told The Early Show Nov. 25 that he "did get carried away" but has otherwise stood by his actions on-stage. "I'm not a babysitter, I'm a performer."
