Curious to know more about why Lemony Snicket (Patrick Warburton) and Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) were in that photo together at Prufrock Preparatory School in the season finale of A Series of Unfortunate Events?

According to Neil Patrick Harris, the history between the two men isn't only personal, it also connects the two secret organizations each of them appears to be part of.

"In the first season we tease a little bit that there might be some sort of history with Olaf and Lemony Snicket, our narrator, and in Season 2 we get to delve into that a bit more," Harris tells TV Guide. "Lemony's past comes into play. They were schoolmates, and something happened that caused a bit of a schism between the two of them, which caused a larger schism in organizations."

Those organizations (and their puzzling agendas) are still shrouded in mystery, but Harris is confident Season 2 will provide at least a few answers.

"We, along with the kids, start learning what VFD stands for, what it could mean, who's behind it, what's the Sugar Bowl. We start to pose questions -- [and] answer some of them," Harris teases.

A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 premieres on Netflix on Friday, March 30 on Netflix.
