Charlie's Angels fended off a challenge from Satan to retain its perch at the top of the box office for the second consecutive weekend. According to studio estimates, Angels grossed another $25 million, easily beating Adam Sandler's devilish new comedy, Little Nicky, which debuted at No. 2 with a somewhat disappointing $18.1 million. The 60-year-old Shaw, who became a household name while covering the Gulf War in 1991, had worked at ABC and CBS prior to joining CNN. "I am stepping back from the table to write books, including an autobiography," he said. "Harder than entering this business is leaving it and leaving CNN, especially after 20 years here." Britney Spears has pulled out of a planned guest appearance on Buffy the Vampire Slayer due to scheduling conflicts. "It's not happening," co-executive producer Marti Noxon tells TV Guide Online. "It's off the plate completely." However, the character Spears would have played will live on, Noxon adds. "We're still going to do the episode, we're just going to do it with someone else," she says, declining to reveal the specifics. "The [story] idea is still valid, and we're going to go ahead and run with it. But now that [Britney's] not available, we're going to push that episode to a little bit later." The pop princess — who is friends with Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar — isn't ruling out the possibility of a future appearance. "Britney loves the show and she'll probably do it one day," says her rep, "but right now, they just can't schedule anything." read more

Watching Scotty Grow

Former child actor turned porn star Scotty Schwartz says he's ready to hang up his G-string. The 32-year-old, who starred in 1982's The Toy and went on to become an actor/agent in the adult movie biz, tells TV Guide Online that his appearance at the Adult Video News awards show in Las Vegas on Jan. 8 will mark his official farewell from the industry.

"After 14 years of hanging out with the gang, it's time to move on," says Schwartz, who bared all in movies like Scotty's X-Rated Adventure and New Wave Hookers 5. "I just got tired of it. Like anything else, when you hang out with a group of people or have a job for a number of years, it gets tiresome."

Schwartz says he grew especially tired of his gig as an agent to several X-rated stars. "It is the most horrifying job," he says. "There's so much flakiness. They'd be late, or not show up at all. There's a small amount of drug use, and everybody drinks. All of their actions fell back on me, so I wa read more
