Entertainment Tonight's Mary Hart has been named the new host of American Airlines' in-flight program, CBS Eye on American. Throughout the month of September, Hart will introduce passengers to CBS's new fall programming, including the network's trilogy of terror, dr. vegas, Listen Up! and Center of the Universe. Passengers will then introduce themselves to the little blue bag in the seat flap in front of them. read more


VH1 staple Michael Ian Black, comic D.L. Hughley and actress Amy Sedaris will be among the guest hosts filling Craig Kilborn's vacant Late Late Show seat, beginning Sept. 20. I'm happy for them — in a jealous, bitter kinda way. read more


Fox has tapped Donald Trump's ex, Ivana Trump, to host a two-hour reality special titled Ivana Man. According to Variety, the show will feature eight twentysomething bachelors competing for the attention of a successful but lonely fortysomething. They should have just called it Ivana Kill Myself. read more


Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ sold 4.1 million DVDs during its first full day in stores Tuesday. While the haul is impressive, it's no record breaker. Finding Nemo remains the all-time best-seller with 8 million. read more


Tim McGraw's new CD, Live like You Were Dying, sold a staggering 766,000 copies to grab the top spot on Billboard's album chart. It was McGraw's biggest opener to date. read more


Fox's embattled boxing show The Next Great Champ has another rival to contend with. Independent-film producer Leigh Ann Burton has filed a civil complaint against Oscar De La Hoya and his Golden Boy Promotions, claiming they got the idea for Champ from her. The suit comes just days after a judge rejected an attempt by producers of NBC's The Contender to block Champ from airing. Long story short: Fox needs to put this show out of its misery. read more


A judge has refused to reduce Michael Jackson's $3 million bail on child-molestation charges.... NBC's much-hyped CGI comedy Father of the Pride averaged a modest 11 million viewers in its debut Tuesday.... Monica Potter (Along Came a Spider, Patch Adams) has joined the cast of ABC's upcoming Practice spin-off, Boston Legal. She'll play Lori Colson, a junior partner at Crane, Poole & Schmidt. read more


Despite North Shore-type reviews, NBC's Hawaii got off to a decent start Wednesday. The much-maligned cop drama won its time slot with 10.4 million viewers. Fox's Renovate My Family also enjoyed a solid debut, attracting 9.5 million viewers and ranking as the night's top draw among adults 18 to 49.
