Walking Dead, Straight Outta Compton Star Corey Hawkins Will Replace Kiefer Sutherland on 24: Legacy

Meet your new Jack Bauer, 24 fans.

Corey Hawkins, who currently plays Heath on The Walking Dead, will replace Kiefer Sutherland as the leading man on Fox's upcoming 24 re-reboot 24: Legacy.

Hawkins will play Eric Carter, a military hero whose past in the Army Rangers follows him after he returns to the United States. Carter turns to CTU for protection and soon finds himself trying to stop a large-scale terror attack in America.

Fox announced the second revival of 24earlier this month at the Television Critics Association winter previews. In 2014, Sutherland reprised his character of Jack Bauer for the event series 24: Live Another Day. 24: Legacy will feature an entirely new cast of characters, including a yet-to-be cast female lead, but is being executive-produced by original EPs Manny Coto, Evan Katz, Howard Gordon and Brian Grazer.

Hawkins also played Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton and will next be seen in Kong: Skull Island.
