Where You Can Watch the Oscar Nominees on TV

It wasn't that long ago that there was hardly any crossover between TV stars and award-winning film actors. But now, the number of Oscar winners and nominees who've made the leap to the small screen is so high that it's unusual to find an actor or actress who isn't currently working on a television project. Even the queen of Hollywood herself, Meryl Streep, recently announced that she'll be joining HBO's Big Little Lies for a Season 2 arc.

And so, with the 90th Academy Awards upon us on Sunday, even if you can't see all the nominated films, you can check out several nominees' talents by streaming their past (and present) TV work, like the 10 we've outlined here:

Nominee: Timothée Chalamet
Nominated For: Lead Actor, Call Me by Your Name
TV Work: You might not recognize 2018's breakout star and the first-time Oscar nominee from his brief time on Season 2 of Homeland six years ago, but Chalamet had a recurring role as Finn, the vice president's son and boyfriend of Dana Brody (Morgan Saylor).

Nominee: Gary Oldman
Nominated For: Lead Actor, Darkest Hour
TV Work: Oldman's definitely more known for his film roles, but never forget when he guest-starred on Friendsfor the pair of Season 7 episodes that took place during Monica and Chandler's wedding. Oldman played Richard Crosby, a famous actor with whom Joey's co-starring in a movie, and who makes Joey late to officiate the wedding ceremony because of his drunken on-set behavior. Oldman earned an Emmy nomination for the part. Fun fact: Richard Crosby has three Oscar nominations, but this year's nod is just Oldman's second.

Nominee: Denzel Washington
Nominated For: Lead Actor, Roman J. Israel, Esq.
TV Work: Denzel Washington has stuck mostly to movies in the past few decades, but you can always revisit his early work on the 1980s medical drama St. Elsewhere, which is available to stream on Hulu.

Nominee: Frances McDormand
Nominated For: Lead Actress, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
TV Work: The odds-on favorite to win Best Actress this year was most recently seen in HBO's 2014 miniseries Olive Kitteridge, based on the best-selling book by Elizabeth Strout. Before that, she had turns on State of Graceand Hill Street Blues.

Nominee: Margot Robbie
Nominated For: Lead Actress, I, Tonya
TV Work: Back in 2011, the Aussie actress starred alongside Christina Ricci on ABC's short-lived series Pan Am, a drama set in the 1960s that chronicled the personal and professional lives of a group of pilots and stewardesses working for Pan American World Airways. The show is available to stream on Amazon Video.

Nominee: Woody Harrelson
Nominated For: Supporting Actor, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
TV Work: Harrelson teamed up with Matthew McConaughey for the critically-acclaimed first season of HBO's True Detective in 2014. He also had a recurring role as Grace's love interest Nathan on the original incarnation of Will & Grace.

Nominee: Richard Jenkins
Nominated For: Supporting Actor, The Shape of Water
TV Work: Before he got an Oscar nomination for his work in The Shape of Water, Jenkins starred alongside his fellow nominee Frances McDormand in Olive Kitteridge. He's also fondly remembered for his role as Fisher family patriarch Nathaniel on Six Feet Under. Currently, Jenkins stars on the Epix series Berlin Station.

Nominee: Allison Janney
Nominated For: Supporting Actress, I, Tonya
TV Work: Janney might get one step closer to an EGOT on Sunday night for her work as the worst mother in the world in I, Tonya. On CBS' Mom, Janney plays a more palatable (though still deeply flawed) matriarch, and she's also had starring roles on Masters of Sex and The West Wing. Janney has won Emmys for all three of those shows.

Nominee: Laurie Metcalf
Nominated For: Supporting Actress, Lady Bird
TV Work: First-time Oscar nominee Metcalf already has plenty of Emmys -- three, to be exact -- from her role as Jackie on Roseanne, but she might add to her awards shelf with a little gold man on Sunday. The actress will reprise her role in ABC's upcoming reboot of the sitcom, and has also appeared on a number of other shows, includingThe Big Bang Theoryand Getting On.

Nominee: Octavia Spencer
Nominated For: Supporting Actress, The Shape of Water
TV Work: Along with Allison Janney, Spencer is the second actress from Mom to receive an Oscar nod this year. She also recently starred on ABC's single-season drama Red Band Society.
