Kundun: Review

Paradise lost

Despite the apparent incongruity of Martin Scorsese (the director of such hard-edged films as Taxi Driver and Raging Bull) making a film about the serene 14th Dalai Lama, the match is really somewhat natural: The key themes of this visually stunning biography are faith and violence.
