Writer-director Don Roos's follow-up to the blackly funny Opposite of Sex is a sharply written and sensitvely acted drama about a far more serious subject. Ben Affleck stars as Buddy Amaral, a cocksure L.A. ad-man who, in a rare moment of generosity, hands his plane ticket to a fellow passenger, a playwright (Tony Goldwyn) who'd been bumped from his flight. The plane crashes, killing everyone on board. The close brush with death throws Buddy into a tailspin that nearly destroys him, until he finds redemption through the playwright's young widow (Gwyneth Paltrow). Read the complete review for Bounce
