Josh Gad, who co-created the comedy, stars as the president's manchild son Skip, who has a penchant for pranks and breaking windows. How does homeowner's insurance work on the White House?

The Americans (FX) Premieres: Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 10/9cWhat if Mr. and Mrs. Smith were Russian spies? This 1980s-set drama tells the story of Phillip and Elizabeth Jennings (Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell), two KGB spies posing as Americans in Washington, D.C., shortly after Ronald Reagan's election. The longer they stay on assignment, their arranged marriage — complete with completely clueless kids! — becomes more and more real. But with the Cold War heating up and a FBI agent neighbor (Noah Emmerich), things could get messy quickly. Justified's Margo Martindale will recur.

Banshee (Cinemax) Premieres: Friday, Jan. 11 at 10/9cFrom True Blood creator Alan Ball and House's Greg Yaitanes comes Cinemax's latest action thriller, starring Antony Starr as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff in Banshee, Pa. Hiding behind the badge, he continues his criminal activities while laying low from gangsters he ripped off in the past. One problem: Hood's former partner in crime (Ivana Milicevic) is now living in Banshee as well with a family who knows nothing of her checkered past.

Premieres: Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 9/8c From the network that brings you the gritty cop drama Southland comes this gripping, firsthand look at the lives of the men and women of the Boston Police Department. Executive-produced by Boston's own DonnieWahlberg, this reality series will take viewers inside the BPD's highly decorated gang unit, among others, while also exploring exactly what it takes to patrol and protect one of America's most beloved cities.

Premieres: Thursday, Jan. 3 at 10/9c Need something to fill the Jersey Shore-sized hole in your TV-viewing schedule? Look no further than this comedic reality series about a group of childhood friends who have grown up in the rural foothills of West Virginia. They live by the motto, "Whatever happens, happens." And considering they do things like throw dump truck pool parties and build human slingshots, "whatever happens" might be painful to watch.

The Carrie Diaries (CW)Premieres: Monday, Jan. 13 at 8/7cWhat was Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw like before cosmos and Manolos? This CW series, based on the novel by Candace Bushnell, follows a younger Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) as she steps into the limelight and comes of age in the '80s, asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan. Bushnell executive-produces alongside Gossip Girl duo Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Stefania Owen, Austin Butler, Matt Letscher, ans Brendan Dooling also star.

Premieres: Tuesday, March 19, 8/7c Because Skating with the Stars worked out so well, ABC will try the same formula with diving. Professional divers will teach celebrities dives up to 10 meters high, and four-time Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis will serve as one of the three judges. Let's hope none of them do this.

Continuum (Syfy)Premieres: Monday, Jan. 14 at 8/7cIn this Canadian series set in Vancouver 2077, a group of eight terrorists known as Liber8 (get it?) have been captured and face execution for killing tens of thousands of people in their fight against a corporate-run society. But before the rebels can be executed, they flee by traveling back in time — much to the surprise of law enforcement officer Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols), who is swept along with them to 2012. Once there, Kiera allies with a tech dude (Erik Knudsen) to track and apprehend the criminals. Expect lots mind-bending talk of time loops and alternate realities and nifty computer-generated graphics of Kiera's cybernetic police gear.

Cult (CW)Premieres: Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 9/8cVampire Diaries alum Matt Davis stars an investigative journalist looking into the rabid fans of a television series who may be recreating the crimes seen on the program in real life. Joining him on the hunt is the show's eager production assistant Skye (Jessica Lucas) who's also starting to grow suspicious about just how real the series has become. Prison Break baddie Robert Knepper also stars as the mysterious man at the center of the possibly deadly TV show.

Deception (NBC)Premieres: Monday, Jan. 7 at 10/9cA young woman lies about her identity in order to return to her childhood home and figure out who betrayed — and ultimately killed — one of those closest to her. Sound familiar? At first glance Deception seems like NBC's answer to ABC's Revenge, but while Emily Thorne bided her time in juvie, our heroine Joanna Locasto (Meagan Good) grew from a maid's daughter to an FBI agent. Will she be able to solve the murder of her high-society BFF? Or will she fall into the traps of fancy living she left behind so long ago?

Premieres: Thursday, Jan. 31 at 10/9c In this modern-day twist on the Jekyll & Hyde tale, neurosurgeon Dr. Jason Cole (Rescue Me's Steven Pasquale) has built up an immunity to the sedative he's been taking to control his mysterious malady: he changes into a borderline sociopathic alternate personality who goes by the name Ian Price at the stroke of 9 each night. Now that Ian has been unleashed once again, he's not thrilled with being caged all this time. Watch out, doc — your alter ego will have his revenge. Stop hitting yourself!

The Following (Fox)Premieres: Monday, Jan. 21 at 9/8cThis scary, blood-pumping thriller stars Kevin Bacon as retired FBI agent Ryan Hardy, who's called back to the force when Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), a college professor-turned-serial killer Hardy helped put in prison, escapes and begins killing again. The problem-slash-premise of the series? While in jail, Carroll has recruited a legion of followers in the outside world who begin committing copycat crimes to coincide with his escape. Seriously: Don't watch this one alone.

Golden Boy (CBS)Premieres: Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 10/9cThe titular golden boy on this CBS drama is Walter William Clark Jr. (Theo James), the youngest police commissioner in the history of New York City. He is forced to deal with both the resentment of his colleagues and corruption within the force as he ascends up the ranks. Complicating things further is Clark's personal obligations as the sole caretaker of his teenage sister Agnes (Stella Maeve). Chi McBride also stars.

House of Cards (Netflix) Premieres: Friday, Feb. 1Want to know the best way to get people buzzing about an online-only series? Assemble a roster of Hollywood talent like Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright and director David Fincher to adapt a 1990 BBC drama into a modern political tale of greed, sex, love and corruption. Spacey stars as Fank Underwood, a ruthless Southern congressman who will stop at nothing to seize power in Washington. Wright plays his equally ambitious wife. Fincher executive-produces and also directs the first two episodes.

King of the Nerds (TBS)Premieres: Thursday, Jan. 17, 10/9cOne nerd to rule them all! Hosted by Revenge of the Nerds stars Robert Carradine and Curits Armstrong, TBS' new competition follows 11 contestants as they vie for $100,000 and the title of greatest nerd of all. The contestants — which include a LARPer and a video game developer — live together in "nerdvana," where they'll face new challenges each week that include live gaming and life-sized chess.

Legit (FX)Premieres: Thursday, Jan. 17, 10:30/9:30cAs with Wilfred, FX has turned to the Land Down Under for its latest comedy. Legit tells the story of Jim (Jim Jefferies), a comedian who makes many misguided, and sometimes completely off-course, attempts to grow up and become legitimate. Dan Bakkedahl and D.J. Qualls also star as Jim's (supportive?) friends.

Monday Mornings (TNT)Premieres: Monday, Feb. 4, 10/9cBased on Dr. Sanjay Gupta's book, this medical drama from David E. Kelley follows the lives of the doctors at Chelsea General Hospital in Portland, Ore. as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings. Leading the staff is the steely-eyed chief of surgery (Alfred Molina) and the hospital's trauma chief (Ving Rhames). Battlestar Galactica's Jamie Bamber and Jennifer Finnigan play hotshot neurosurgeons.

Ready for Love (NBC)Premieres: Sunday, March 31 at 8/7cOnline dating goes offline in Ready to Love, which features women from across the country competing for three men's affections with the help of Facebook and top matchmakers. Giuliana and Bill Rancic host the dating series, which is executive-produced by Eva Longoria. Red Widow (ABC)Premieres: Sunday, March 3, 9/8cWeeds meets The Mob Doctor in this ABC drama about Marta Walraven (Radha Mitchell), a suburban mother of three dealing with the fallout from the death of her husband, who supported their family by exporting marijuana. (His murder was the result of the theft of millions of dollars' worth of cocaine by his business partners, including Marta's brother). Now Marta has inherited his debt to an organized crime syndicate — and is also being hounded by the FBI for information about her husband's murder. Goran Visnjic co-stars as an international crime boss.

Premieres: Saturday, Jan. 19 at 9/8c Set in Victorian London during the aftermath of the Jack the Ripper murders, this drama tells the story of detectives Edmund Reid and Bennet Drake (Matthew Macfadyen and Jerome Flynn), who are haunted by the uncaught serial killer as they continue to solve the violent crimes he may have committed. But as Reid works the case, he's drawn further into the seedy underworld of bare-knuckle boxing, pornography and prostitution. Sounds like a charming place to vacation!

The Taste (ABC)Premieres: Tuesday, Jan. 22, 8/7cWhat happens when you apply The Voice's blind auditions to a cooking show? You get ABC's new competition series, which features 16 pro and amateur chefs being judged on a blind taste test by the likes of Anthony Bourdain, British food star Nigella Lawson, chef Ludo Lefebvre and Top Chef alum Brian Malarkey. Each judge will eventually mentor a team of four competitors through weekly challenges until a winner is crowned. Given that knives are involved, we hope there are no spinning chairs!

Zero Hour (ABC)Premieres: Thursday, Feb. 14, 8/7cThe erstwhile Dr. Greene, aka Anthony Edwards, returns to TV in this Da Vinci Code-like thriller that looks like it's set in Hugo (read: clocks. And lots of them). Hank Foley (Edwards), a skeptics magazine editor, gets caught up in a centuries-old conspiracy after his wife (Jacinda Barrett), an antique clock shop owner, is kidnapped because one of her timepieces contains a treasure map that can lead to catastrophic events. So, yes, it's a literal race against time.
