The year 2015 was all about endings for Dempsey. In January, three months before McDreamy was killed off Grey's Anatomy, the actor's wife Jillian Fink, a makeup artist, filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage. But by November, the estranged couple, who have three kids, was seen holding hands and are reportedly working on their relationship.
The low-key couple, who secretly wed in 2009, announced their split in January. Moore, who provided backing vocals to the rocker's most recent album, had posted a photo of their marriage license for their fifth anniversary in 2014, writing, "The best five years....".
The pair announced their split in March after 10 years of marriage, and things immediately got messy. According to Page Six, the celebrity chef and Law & Order: SVU alum broke up because of Flay's three-year affair with his 28-year-old assistant Elyse Tirrell. In June, Flay, who's been plagued by infidelity rumors for years, saw his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony hijacked by an airplane banner that read "CHEATER." Flay and March finalized their divorce a month later.
Cooper and Waterhouse kept their split under wraps for two months before news broke in March -- weeks after they attended the Oscars together as friends. The pair, who dated for two years, were also seen hanging out together, including at Coachella, afterward, but they're still just friends: Cooper is now dating model Irina Shayk.
The singer and Arnold Schwarzenegger progeny split in April after five months of dating. The breakup came a month after Schwarzenegger was photographed with another girl while on spring break in Mexico.
The couple, famous for their PDA-packed performances, broke up in April after almost nine months together. A month after glamming up the red carpet at Cannes and six months after getting engaged, the actors ended their 18-month relationship in June. Actually, she did. Theron reportedly ghosted the hell outta Penn.
The model and Dancing with the Stars alum broke up in May after two years to focus on their careers. "Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career," her rep said in a statement. Bennifer marked their 10th wedding anniversary with a split, announcing their divorce the next day in June. Since then, Affleck has been besieged with reports that he had an affair with their nanny Christine Ouzounian, but has not commented on them. The actor still lives in a separate house on the family's property to ease the transition for their three kids.
Fed up with Disick's partying, not to mention photos of him canoodling with an ex-girlfriend in Monte Carlo, Kardashian ended their nine-year relationship in July. The breakup was shown in the season finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in October. "I love Scott, but I've been dealing with this for so long, it's definitely not good for me. At this point, I'm really just trying to focus on me and the kids and make them the priority," she said.
The Brits, who have a daughter, broke up in July after four years together. "It's been really quite overwhelming recently, just with the volume of everything going on," Miller told British Vogue later. "Everything is shifting. It's actually been the sh--tiest year, and amazing. It's always yin and yang. I feel like if you're excelling in one area, it's hard to manage both and I do feel like the work is going really well."
The country superstars swiftly divorced in July after four years. "This is not the future we envisioned," they said in a statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately." Shelton soon moved onto his fellow newly single Voice coach Gwen Stefani, but everything is cool between him and Lambert. "Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try," she told Cosmopolitan. "I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted."
The No Doubt singer's simple kind of life was over in August when she filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage -- 19 years together overall -- and three kids. Rossdale reportedly cheated on Stefani with their kids' nanny Mindy Mann for three years. While he has kept quiet, Stefani, who's now dating Blake Shelton, all but confirmed the rumors, pouring her heartbreak into her new single "Used to Love You." "Everybody knows, pretty much, what happened to me," she told radio host Elvis Duran.
The country star announced in August that she and her manager-husband had separated after 26 years and one son together. Blackstock, whose son Brandon from a previous relationship is married to Kelly Clarkson, runs Big Machine, which reps McEntire, Clarkson and Blake Shelton.

Fox filed for divorce from the Beverly Hills, 90210 star in August after five years of marriage. The couple, who started dating in 2004 and have two sons, had broken up before, briefly splitting in 2009. Flipping Out fans were not that surprised by their split: Green was weirdly annoyed when his wife was mentioned during his appearance on the show a month prior.
Five months after denying reports that they had broken up, the couple of 18 years announced the sad news in September. But they remain on good terms. Weeks later, while accepting his Emmy for Mad Men, Hamm thanked the actress in his speech, and the two have since been seen out together, sparking rumors that they're back on.
So much for her happy ending. Lavigne announced the end of her two-year marriage to the Nickelback frontman in September. The actors called it quits in September after two years of dating -- a relationship that started because of Instagram. "I followed him on Instagram and I thought something he said was really funny," Seyfried told Vogue in June. "It was a picture of a snail, and the caption said, 'F---ing MOOOOOOOOVE.' It made me laugh out loud so I texted him."
