Kristi Leskinen and Jen Hudak

Connection: Former professional freestyle skiers

Ages: 36; 30

Hometowns: Utah; Arizona

On breaking the snow sport curse: "The snowboarders have had horrible luck with cabs, every single duo - Tommy and Andy, Matt Ladley, Amy Purdy. They all had bad luck with transportation," Jen says. "We're hoping we'll break that streak for our snow sport comrades."

Joey Chestnut and Tim Janus

Connection: Competitive eaters

Ages: 33; 40

Hometowns: San Jose, Calif.; New York

On eating challenges: "We're not cocky guys, but there is virtually no chance that either of us could lose an eating contest," Tim says. "This is what we do. We're the best in the world at this. It's going right here and it's going right here very quickly. We might both eat them just for fun."

Henry Zhang and Evan Lynyak

Connection: Dating

Ages: both 22

Hometowns: Los Angeles

On their past Amazing Race connection: "I went to a debate camp run by Victor Jie, who won a previous season of the show," Henry says. "At that camp, everyone knew what the race was and we watched his clips. It always seemed like a crazy, amazing thing to be able to go on and pretty respectable thing to win as well. I didn't really get the opportunity [to ask him for advice]."

Daniel and Eric Guiffreda

Connection: twin brothers and firefighters/paramedics

Ages: 33

8 of 12 John Paul Filo, CBS

Dessie Mitcheson and Kayla Fitzgerald

Connection: Ring girls/Instagram models

Ages: 27; 26

Hometowns: Costa Mesa, Calif.; Los Angeles

On their stealth athleticism: "I think instantly there's a negative stigma with us. I think we're definitely going to be underestimated in a lot of things," Kayla says. 9 of 12 John Paul Filo, CBS

Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf

Connection: Dating

Ages: 32; 26

Why they packed one bag: "[One bag] just makes sense," Jessica says. "I think he was surprised at how willing I was to not pack a lot of stuff. I brought barely any makeup and barely any clothing. At the end of the day, we're racing for a million dollars that could change our lives and I need to prioritize first. Appearance goes out the window during. I brought foundation, I brought an eyebrow pencil and like pressed powder."

10 of 12 John Paul Filo, CBS

Cedric Ceballos and Shawn Marion

Connection: Former NBA players

Ages: 47; 39

Hometowns: Arizona; Chicago

On why being athletes isn't a huge advantage: "It doesn't really matter if you're athletic or not. Only one team of athletes has won: the hockey players," Cedric says. "It's about staying the course, knowing there are challenges you're going to be good at and challenges you're going to be bad at, and getting through them."

11 of 12 John Paul Filo, CBS

April Gould and Sarah Williams

Connection: Goat Yoga owners

Ages: both 39

Hometowns: Arizona

On hoping for a goat challenge: "We definitely want one. We brought the costume and everything," April says. "You have to lead the goat. Goats are the most stubborn animals. The more you try to get them to do something, the more it doesn't work. You just have to look in their eyes. Take good care of them, spend a lot of time with them."

Alex Rossi and Conor Daly

Connection: IndyCar drivers

Ages: both 25

Hometowns: Indianapolis

On alliances: "I think we are pro-whatever helps us in the current period," Conor says. "If it means linking up with folks at the moment, that would be great. But when it comes to final four, final leg, no. But I don't think there's harm in alliances."
