Mayim Bialik

The Big Bang Theory star is a real-life nerd. Turning down Harvard and Yale, Bialik received a B.S. in neuroscience, Hebrew studies and Jewish studies in 2000 and her PhD in 2007. Her dissertation was titled "Hypothalamic Regulation in Relation to Maladaptive, Obsessive-Compulsive, Affiliative, and Satiety Behaviors in Prader-Willi Syndrome."

James Franco

There was a time when Franco attended just one school. After dropping out following his freshman year in 1997 to concentrate on acting, Franco re-enrolled in 2006, receiving special permission to take up to 62 (!) credits a quarter instead of the normal 19.
