While last week's "Dance With My Father" was an appropriate baritone song selection, Jermaine's performances thus far have been a snooze-fest. Jermaine may have been "the chosen one" who returned after being eliminated, but if our users' lukewarm reaction is any indication, he won't be back for long.

Jeremy Rosado (tie)
It's obvious that J.Lo has a soft spot for Jeremy, but based on our Power Rankings, she might be the only one. His rendition of "Gravity" last week was just so-so, and his "nice guy" persona isn't enough to keep him around forever.

Deandre Brackensick (tie)
If he can manage to refine his unique falsetto sound, Deandre might stand a chance in the competition. But his pitchy performances (like last week's "Reasons") and incessant hair-flipping are starting to grate on our nerves (and apparently those of voters.) As a result, he's landed near the bottom of our Power Rankings.

Shannon Magrane (tie)
Sure, Shannon is a good technical singer, but her performance of "Go Light Your World" was empty and failed to really move us at all. (We'll partly chalk it up to her youth — and that prom dress.) If Shannon hopes to earn move votes from our users, she's going to have to find a way to connect.

Heejun Han (tie)
Heejun's take on "Angel" by Robbie Williams started out shaky (which is typical for him), though it gained momentum and ultimately finished strong. He's the quirkiest, most fascinating character in the top 12, but if he doesn't step up his confidence, we fear he'll be stuck in the middle indefinitely.

Elise Testone (tie)
Her soulful take on Adele's "One and Only" was a highlight of the semifinals and helped her earn a spot in the finals. We attribute her low placement in our Power Rankings to her lack of screen time compared to other contestants, but if she can pull out a few more solid performances, we expect to see her climb.

Erika Van Pelt (tie)
Seen by some as a controversial wild card pick by the judges, Erika delivered two great performances during the semifinals. (We particularly liked her take on Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory.") Raspy-voiced rockers have been hit or miss in breaking through on Idol, but we can't wait to watch Erika try.

Joshua Ledet (tie)
We're a bit surprised Joshua didn't place higher in our Power Rankings, because his rendition of Jennifer Hudson's "You Pulled Me Through" was easily the best male performance last week. He lacks the sex appeal of his boy band-esque competitors, so he'll have to make up for it vocally — and we're confident Joshua is capable.

Skylar Laine
Given how well country singers have done on Idol, we're a little shocked to see this firecracker stuck in the middle of the pack. But there's no denying that the show is in desperate need of her energy. The question is: Will she be able to keep her momentum when/if she has to slow things down a bit?

Colton Dixon
The skunk he's got tacked to his head isn't doing Colton any favors, but the good news is his talent makes up for it. His rendition of Paramore's "Decode" was perfectly teen-angsty and impassioned. He's not a vocal powerhouse, per se, but his unique vibe snagged him a primo spot in our Power Rankings.

Hollie Cavanagh
She blew the doors off the place with her version of Christina Aguilera's "Reflection," which rightfully earned her a spot in the Top 13 and a high ranking among our voters. We were actually surprised by her pipes, but if she keeps it up, we think she's a definite contender for the Idol crown.

Jessica Sanchez (tie)
This 16-year-old has a huge voice, which she demonstrated (despite being on vocal rest) by belting Jennifer Hudson's "Love You I Do." She earned a standing ovation from the judges and, not surprisingly tied as our users' favorite so far. Can she use that momentum to go deep into the competition?

Phillip Phillips (tie)
With his southern charm, piercing blue eyes, and, oh yeah, an outstanding voice, it's no surprise Phillip stole earned a ton of our users' votes. His song choices illustrate that he is creative (see his acoustic version of Usher's "Nice and Slow") and unafraid of taking risks. With Phillip's mass appeal, our only question is this: Who is going to unseat him from the top spot?
