Is this guy bulletproof or what? Despite being in the Bottom Two for the third time this season, Stefano escaped again elimination. Based on his last-place position in our Power Rankings, his luck seems destined to eventually run out.

"Stefano has one of the best, if not the best, voice on the stage this year, not to mention that he is very pleasant to look at and has beautiful eyes and a smile that could brighten any room! Go Stefano!!!" — petlover13

Jacob played it mellow last week, perhaps to gain back some ground after some of his earlier comments perhaps rubbed viewers and voters the wrong way. His singing was also back on track, but his placement in our rankings didn't improve much. He really needs a "wow" performance this week if he hopes to have any chance of making it to the finale.

"I think he was out of key at times and overly dramatic. I don't think he is polished as a singer. He looked defeated in his intro package, which he should feel. I loved Jimmy for calling him [out]." — jillage

Going against mentor Jimmy Iovine's advice, Casey sang an old Nat King Cole song that no doubt went way over the heads of the average (read: 14-year-old girl) Idol voter. Although we appreciated him sticking to his guns by singing the jazzy tune, he didn't particularly sing it well. As a result, Casey falls to his lowest position ever in our Power Rankings.

"I honestly didn't like this performance. Now that was indulgent. I didn't get it. Some people want the judges to directly impact the votes and they did just that with the standing O for him. They must have known that song wouldn't necessarily resonate with some people." — speedy1383

On paper, Lauren's cover of MIley Cyrus' "The Climb" should have been a big hit for the teen, but we think it somehow paled in comparison. Voters perhaps felt differently, as Lauren climbs a spot in our Power Rankings.

"Lauren has improved immensely; she has a good voice, and is getting comfortable in the spotlight. Don't think she'll win, but she's got a good voice." — ThatGirl2

Even though Haley's take on "Call Me" landed her in the Bottom Three once again, she's managed to hang on to her recent surge of momentum among TVGuide.com voters. Our advice for Haley: Stick with the bluesy vibe you had during your duet with Casey.

"She seemed to be having a good time. Her performance was exactly what I would have expected from her. Given that the judges were showering praise all over the other contestants, I don't know why they couldn't have shown a little Haley love as well." — rushmore

The only thing more predictable than Scotty's song choices and performances is his position at the top of our Power Rankings. Whatever he's doing seems to be working with the voters.

"Never thought I'd say this, because his voice is great, but I'm kind of tired of Scotty. I don't expect him to sing anything other than country since it wouldn't wear well on him, but I guess I'm not a big enough country fan to appreciate him." — Darcey

James holds on to the top spot for the second week in a row, even after (or perhaps because) he told a disagreeable Jimmy Iovine that America was ready to rock with some "Heavy Metal." At least for now, it seems James might be right.

"James just knocked it out of the park. I'm not into heavy metal, but it was a super performance. I'm glad he stuck to his guns. He's been wanting this long enough to know exactly what's right for him. — maacam
