There's a reason he's Mr. Fantastic. In fact, there are 19
That's Mr. Fantastic to you! Miles plays the hero this summer in the re-imagining of Fantastic Four. He'll join buddy Michael B. Jordan (from That Awkward Moment) in the film. Not sure if you got that: Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan will be in a film together again. We are all so blessed. But what led Miles to superhero status?
Though Miles is getting a ton of attention due to Fantastic Four, the Divergent series, and Whiplash, we were falling in love with him long before. His performance as the damaged guy going through growing pains and learning to love in The Spectacular Now tugs at every single heartstring.
It's been said that Miles is the next John Cusack or is reminiscent of a young Vince Vaughn. And, if that wasn't enough, Miles was picked personally for his very first role (in Rabbit Hole) by Nicole Kidman in 2010.
Miles starred with Analeigh Tipton in Two Night Stand, a film that brought online dating hook-ups to the big screen. Miles and Analeigh's characters enjoyed what they thought would be just one night together. They then woke up to a blizzard and the fact that they hated each other. Luckily they were trapped in his apartment for so long that they fell in love. It's a modern day fairy tale.
Miles has always looked good. And lately, he's really bulking up. His transformation took on double speed in preparation for his role as boxer Vinny Pazienza in an upcoming biopic and his role as Mr. Fantastic in the new Fantastic Four film. Miles was a cutie before, and now he's no less than drool-worthy.
Miles got into a terrible car accident when he was in college. But he's making his scars work for him, giving him an edge other actors have to paint on.
All of those muscles are put to use when it comes to crushing the blockbuster competition. Miles plays Peter Hayes in the Divergent series, which is being hailed as the next Hunger Games. Just about every film he touches is gold, gaining upwards of four stars on Metacritic.
Speaking of Divergent and The Spectacular Now, the real-life relationship between Miles and Shailene Woodley is precious. It might seem like their bond transcends friendship, but both stars continue to squash rumors that they have dated. Turns out they're just really close buds.
Miles hangs out with the coolest kids in the Hollywood scene because, well, he's pretty dang cool himself. It's not strange to catch him out with Zac Efron and the like. Get ready for an attractive good time.
Miles was already on the rise, but the popularity of Whiplash really pushed things over the top for the young actor. Prepping for the role of a jazz drummer wasn't too far-fetched for Miles. He's played drums since he was 16 years old. In fact, he played a number of instruments when he was just a youth back in Florida.
In early 2014, Rolling Stone called Miles a "breakout Sundance star" after Whiplash took the festival by storm.
If his roles in 21 & Over and That Awkward Moment are any indication, Miles loves a good time. His last few birthdays were spent in Las Vegas, the ultimate party town.
Miles played Willard in the revamp of Footloose in 2011, but it wasn't the first time he'd played the role. He also performed it in high school.
He's got moves you've never seen! In fact, he didn't need to learn any fancy footwork for Footloose. In the film, his character isn't a great dancer. Miles has said pretending he couldn't dance was harder than learning the choreography.
Miles is slated to play Dan Aykroyd in an as-yet-untitled John Belushi biopic. This won't be a stretch for Miles, because he's hilarious. People who have worked with him say he's a lovable goofball on set, and he never takes himself too seriously. Though he slays in dramas, a comedic role is right up his alley.
Everyone! Look how good Miles Teller looks! Start picking out tuxedos, and don't restrict the color options.
Miles has two older sisters, making him the baby of the family and the only boy. Bonus: A quick scroll through his Twitter history reveals that he is super sweet to his mom. Aww!
Just in case you were thinking of getting it tattooed across your heart, now you know. We gotta say, it's a pretty respectable name that would make a hell of a tattoo. Feel free to start writing your name with his name last, just to see how it looks.
OK, so a bit of a hurdle when it comes to an actual future relationship with Miles Teller: his model girlfriend Keleigh Sperry. She's loving, supportive and hot as hell. Plus, she's BFFs with his grandma (at least on Twitter). We can still dream, can't we?
