“Larry,” a true-life drama about a man who was mistakenly confined to a mental institution for his first 26 years. Thought to be mentally disabled, Larry (Frederic Forrest) is found to have normal intelligence. The hospital staff then faces the task of teaching him physical self-sufficiency and confronts the issue of whether such an innocent person can be prepared for life in the outside world.
