The Living Edens Episodes on PBS

“Anamalai: India's Elephant Mountain” follows a baby elephant through its first year of life in the rain forests and on the plains of the southern Indian mountain range. Anne Bancroft narrates the hour, in which the elephant grows up surrounded almost entirely by females (adult bulls aren't welcome in Asian-elephant society ), and together these women and children dominate the rhythms of natural life in the Anamalai.
