Americans go to the polls for midterm elections. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 36 governorships are at stake, but tonight's key question is: Who will control the Senate? The Democrats now hold a one-seat edge, and whichever party wins (34 seats are being contested) won't likely win by much. "The Senate," says University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato, "is a complete and total toss-up." The hottest races, he says, include Arkansas, Colorado and Minnesota.
